Coach Harrold is the club director as well as a coach. She started coaching varsity volleyball in 2000. Starting at Marshall High School as the head coach, she built the program from five wins in the first season to winning three NCMC Conference titles in a row. At Cameron High School, her team won districts, and at Liberty North, the Eagles won their first Suburban Conference title. Now at Lawson, she has coached the Cardinals to district and KCI titles, a 4th place finish at State, and an Elite 8 appearance. She has 22 years head coaching experience, run a club and coached club for 15+ years, and has also been a registered official for 10 years.

Coach Whitney Wilson is starting her8th year with North Storm and is currently the Varsity coach at Cameron High School. She graduated from Cameron in 2013 where she was a record setting All-Conference, District, and Regional Libero and played club for 6 years, traveling all over the country. She graduated from MWSU in 2017 with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. Whitney has coached all ages, ranging from elementary school to high school, andbrings high energy, competitive drive, and a positive attitude to all teams she coaches. She looks forward to sharing her passion and knowledge of the sport with a new wave of athletes and building players who are confident in themselves on and off the court.

Coach Addison Crosby graduated from Lawson in 2019. During her undergrad at UMKC, she was a student manager for the Division 1 volleyball program where she had the opportunity to learn different coaching styles in high-level play. Addison is a mental health therapist supporting at-risk youth with Synergy Services. This will be Coach Addison’s 8th season with North Storm, 3rd as a head coach, and has been with all age groups. Coach Addison believes in building up the self-esteem of players and values hard work, coachabilty, accountability, and intention in her players. 

Coaching Philosophy:   Be present, be focused, work hard, ask questions, lead with intent, and never stop learning.

Coach Jordan Coleman has been a lifelong resident of the Northland and has called Lawson home since 2017. Volleyball has played a central role in her life, shaping both her personal and professional journey. She competed for nine years, developing her skills across multiple positions; starting as a libero, transitioning to setter, and ultimately finishing her career as a middle hitter and blocker. This range of experience has given her a well-rounded understanding of the game.

In 2018, Jordan began coaching, and she has continued to stay deeply involved in the sport ever since. She is also a dedicated MSHSAA referee with five years of experience. Through playing, coaching, and officiating, volleyball has taught her valuable life skills including teamwork, discipline, and leadership; qualities she is passionate about passing on to the next generation of athletes.

Outside of volleyball, Jordan works in her family-owned business alongside her parents, brothers, and husband. Family is at the heart of everything she does, both personally and professionally.

In November 2025, Jordan welcomed her first child, a milestone she describes as an incredible blessing. She looks forward to continuing to share her love, passion, and enthusiasm for volleyball while balancing her growing family and career.

Coaching philosophy:  Effort  and Attitude are Non Negotiable. Talent changes from player to player.  Effort, attitude, hustle, and coachability are choices. We are a family  and there is no I in team.

Coach Katelyn Jeffers was a standout in volleyball in Lawson. She has returned to the volleyball world as the head coach at Richmond High School, where she hopes to build a successful program. In order to push herself and her program, Katelyn has joined the club world so that she can learn more and jump more into the competitive volleyball. Katelyn is married with a son and is a para at Richmond schools.

Coach Maddie Babb graduated from Lawson High School where she was a middle that helped secure the first district title in 27 years. Maddie is currently an elementary teacher and coaches eighth grade volleyball at Lawson Middle School. Part of Maddie's past in athletics is learning to come back from an ACL tear, which pushed Maddie to be resilient and tough. She brings that mindset to the volleyball court and into building up strong young women.

Coach Grace Lewis was a DS and libero at Lawson High School. After watching her sister become a successful coach the last several years, Grace has decided to try her hand at coaching, helping and learning the ropes from a veteran coach. Grace's expertise is in serving and passing. She helped lead her current team to a successful season last year.

Coach Zora Whitt was born and raised in Gower, attending East Buchanan High School. She was a standout DS and later libero and was part of the East Buch Final 4 team. Zora was 1st Team All Conference and All District her senior year.  Zora went on to play at Iowa Central. She has now entered the coaching world. With her expertise in serving, passing, and defense, Zora will be part of raising up the next crop of volleyball players for our area.

Coach Mackenzie Ketterman has taught elementary school since 2019. She is  currently the Orrick High School head volleyball coach where she has held that position since 2022. Before that, she coached the junior high team at Orrick for one year. 

Coaching Philosophy:  Develop the person first, the player second: 

- focus on character, confidence and leadership 

- encourage athletes to take ownership of their development 

- create a positive, supportive environment 

- success is measured by growth, effort and teamwork, not just wins

Coach Hadley Toomay has played in North Storm VBC since 2020 and coached since 2024. She is a first team All-District and All-Conference setter. Starting varsity as a freshman, Hadley has helped her team to its sixth conference title in a row and has been part of two district-winning teams. Hadley's expertise is in setting, serving, and passing. Her bubbly personality and knowledge of the game will push her young teams to play right and hard.

Coach Kelsey Keling is currently playing volleyball at William Jewell college as a right side hitter. She has stuck close to home, coming from Smithville High School where she was a standout hitter. Kelsey began coaching with North Storm in 2025, and she brings expertise in arm swings and blocks as well as a positive outlook and attitude.

Club is a great way to build a resumé for young coaches.

Good Coaching is a mix up of knowledge of fundamentals and systems with the ability to break those down into easily digestible chunks for young girls. It also includes psychology in order to push girls appropriately and build them up into strong women. Coaches must be able to plan, organize, and communicate.
